How to tell us about misuse, illegal content or a copyright claim - and what actually happens after you do.

If someone is in danger
Contact emergency services first. In the US that is 911. For someone at risk of self-harm, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is 988, free and available every hour of every day.
Then tell us at [email protected] and mark it urgent. We monitor that inbox and will act, but we are not an emergency service and cannot respond at the speed one can.
What to report
- Copilotly output being presented as advice from a licensed attorney, physician, accountant or therapist
- Use of the service to harass, threaten, defraud or impersonate
- Content sexualising minors, in any form - reported to us and to NCMEC
- Attempts to circumvent the safety limits on a regulated copilot
- Automated abuse, scraping, or security testing without permission
- Spam or phishing that references or impersonates Copilotly
The full list of what is prohibited is in the acceptable use policy.
How to report it
Email [email protected]. What helps most:
- What happened, in plain terms
- Where you saw it - a URL, a screenshot, a conversation link if you have one
- When it happened
- Whether anyone is at immediate risk
You do not need to be a Copilotly user to report something, and you can report anonymously - though we cannot update you on the outcome if you do.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] including:
- Identification of the copyrighted work
- Identification of the material you say infringes it, with a URL
- Your contact details
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorised to act for the rights holder
- Your signature, electronic or physical
We respond to valid notices under the DMCA and equivalent regimes. If we remove something of yours and you believe that was wrong, you may send a counter-notice.
What happens next
We acknowledge reports within 2 business days. A person reviews every one - this inbox is not automated triage.
Depending on what we find we may warn the account, restrict features, suspend, or terminate. Where there is imminent risk to a person, or content we are legally obliged to report, we act immediately and report it to the relevant authority.
We will tell you the outcome where we can. Sometimes privacy obligations to the reported account limit what we can share, and we would rather say that than pretend nothing happened.
Bad-faith reports - using this channel to harass someone - are themselves a breach of the acceptable use policy.
