What expertise costs
The bill you are not sending yourself.
Nobody hires all six of these in a year. That is exactly the problem - people skip the lawyer, skip the second opinion, skip the negotiation, and quietly absorb the cost of not knowing.
Rates are typical US professional fees, annualised at the usage shown on each line. They are what it would cost to ask the questions people actually bring to Copilotly.

How to decide
The honest test is not whether 131 copilots sounds impressive. It is whether there is a question you have been postponing because asking a professional costs more than the question feels worth.
Most people have several. The contract clause nobody explained. The lab result that arrived in a portal with no context. The four years of freelance income and no idea what was claimable. The conversation about a raise that keeps getting rehearsed and never had.
If none of that is familiar, the free plan is a plan rather than a trial and you can sit on it indefinitely. If two or three of them landed, Pro costs less for a year than one hour of the professional you would otherwise be avoiding.
What the free plan is genuinely for
Three copilots of your choice and 50 messages a day, with no card and no expiry. That is enough to find out whether a specialist copilot is different from a chat tab on a problem you actually have, which is the only test that means anything.
It is deliberately not crippled. The browser extension is included, history is saved, and the copilots are the same ones Pro gets. What Pro adds is breadth - all 131 of them - plus unlimited messages, document upload, and the desktop and mobile apps.
Where the price comparison comes from
The rates quoted across this site are checked against published surveys and cited on the pages that use them. An attorney at $200-400 an hour, a CPA at $150-450, a therapy session at $100-250 - each links to its source on the relevant domain page, and the ones that are indicative ranges rather than surveyed figures say so.
We take that seriously because the price argument is the entire pitch, and a pitch built on a number we cannot source is one that falls apart the first time somebody checks. How we handle figures generally is in editorial standards.
What Pro does not buy you
Not a lawyer, a doctor, an accountant or a therapist. Copilotly prepares the question, explains the situation and drafts what it can - and on anything regulated it states its own limits rather than guessing. That boundary is on every domain page in real type.
For teams, seats and admin controls work differently - see the teams page.
Billing questions
What do I actually get on the free plan?
Three copilots of your choice, 50 messages a day, conversation history and the browser extension. No card, and no time limit - the free plan is a plan, not a trial.
What does Pro add?
All 131 copilots across all 20 domains, unlimited messages, full history and export, document upload and analysis, the desktop and mobile apps, and priority response speed.
Is there an annual discount?
Three cycles: $4.99/week, $29/month, or $290/year which works out at $24.17/month.
Weekly exists because a lot of people want this for one specific problem and not for a year. Cancel after that problem and you have paid a few dollars, which is the honest option and we would rather offer it than not.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, with no cancellation fee. Your account stays active until the end of the billing period, then drops to the free plan with your history preserved.
Is there a refund if it is not for me?
There is a 3-day free trial on Pro and a 7-day money-back guarantee after it converts. If it is not useful, email support and you get the money back.
Is it actually good value?
The comparison worth making is not against another AI subscription. It is against the thing you would otherwise do, which is either pay a professional hourly or postpone the question.
One hour with an attorney runs $200-400. One CPA consultation runs $150-450. One therapy session is $100-250. A year of Pro is $290, which is less than a single hour of any of them - and it covers all 20 domains rather than one.
What happens when I hit the free plan limit?
The 50 daily messages reset every day - it is a daily cap rather than a total, so the free plan does not expire or run out.
If you are hitting it regularly you are probably using it for something real, which is the point at which Pro is worth it. Nothing is deleted and nothing gets locked behind a paywall retroactively.
Do you offer discounts?
Annual billing is the cheapest per month at $24.17/month. Beyond that, if you are a student, a non-profit, or in a situation where the price is the barrier rather than the value, tell us - we would rather have the conversation than lose someone over a subscription fee.
What do I lose if I downgrade?
Your conversation history stays. You return to three copilots of your choice and the daily message limit, and the desktop and mobile apps stop working.
Nothing is deleted and nothing is held hostage. If you upgrade again later, everything is where you left it.
Why is it one price for every domain?
Because problems do not stay in one lane. A legal question usually has a tax consequence and a career question usually has a financial one. Charging separately for each would mean charging you for the thing that makes this useful. Pro is $29/month for all 20 domains, with no per-domain upsell.
